I knew Babs from Baylor, BGCT, Texas Baptists Committed, and Baptists Center for Ethics. She was always so warm and engaging. She also had a great gift of hospitality. She hosted a board meeting one time in her home. I shared of my respect for her parents and she gave me a book of her father’s life. She regaled us of stories singing in the summers at Six Flags and her love of all things musical and theatrical. She had a way of making you feel like an old family friend. Babs gave. She gave her time and her warmth and her heart. She gave money, but that seemed secondary. She gave her self, and what a gift that was.
